On 17 /1/2018 the Awareness talk at Chandoli.Ms.Deepai Chavan highlighted facts and myths about breast cancer.

   

At Navin Marathi Vidyalay on 3/2/2018 the Women while doing their registration for Clinical Breast Examination –CBE.

   

The awereness talk conducted at Tikaram Jagnnath College on 13/2/2018.The camp was for the staff and their mothers.We sensitized them about SBE.

   

At Navin Marathi Shala on 3/2/2018. Prashanti Cancer Care Mission conducted a brief awareness talk for parents.

   

Prashanti Cancer Care Mission held a awareness talk at Infosys on 5/3/20187 .The talk was held for the female supporting staff. The confidence was reinforced among them to fight against the breast cancer.The talk was in Marathi for them.

   

We held a CBE camp on 9/3/2018 at D.Y.Patil,Pimpri. In awereness talk the main focus was about signs symptoms and common myths , taught self breast examination.

   

Awareness Talk at Hawabai School on 24/2/2018 , for the staff and Mothers of students on 24/2/2018.Ms.Deepali Chavan delivered a message of becoming aware about the SBE-Self Breast Examination .They got idea of manual examination.

   

Clinical Breast Examination camp was held at Infosys by Prashanti Cancer Care Mission's team.

   

At Bapusaheb Pawar Kanya Shala on 22/1/2018.The women get clarity about the symptomps of Breast Cancer and training of CBE.

   

Dr. C.B. Koppiker in Ratnagiri at Breast Cancer camp. This camp for early detection of breast cancer is conducted regularly with the unstinted support and sponsorship by Finolex and Mukul Madhav Foundation. 365 patients underwent mammography at Ratnagiri and the mammograms were reported at Orchids Breast Health. Of these, 30 patients required further check-ups for which Dr. C.B. Koppiker visited Ratnagiri. The camp resulted in early diagnosis of breast cancer in amongst this group of patients.

   

Prashanti Cancer Care Mission (PCCM) organised a Clinical Breast Examination Camp at Gondia for policewomen with the help of Deputy Superintendent of Police – Mrs. Nilima Pawar. The Camp was for 2 days on 25th and 26th of October 2017. There was a small inaugural function in which Additional Deputy Commissioner- Mrs. Shweta Khedkar gave a motivating speech and encouraged all the participants. Two NGO's were invited Prashanti Cancer Care Mission and Muskan. PCCM organised Awareness talk followed by Clinical Breast Examination and screened 155 women.

 

In the month of October 3 camps of ongoing Clinical Breast Examination project at
1) Lohiya Nagar on 03/10/17,
2) Sainath Hospital on 14/10/17 and
3) Magarpatta ISS on 17/10/17.
Till date 2703 women were screened through this project in the city.

On the 12th of May nurses day celebration took place at Kamla Nehru Hospital with presence of Health officer Dr. Sabne and Additional Commissioner – Sheetal Ugale. PCCM has started a series of 25 camps through Tata Motors Community Development Center, the 1st of them has taken place in Akurdi and Karve road area.

   

Dr. Koppikar visited Ratnagiri again on 15th April 2017. During the visit we scanned 30 women. Amongst these women, one was also scanned for Fine Needle aspiration cytology (FNAC). Two patients came to us for spot magnification.

   

A four day Mammography and Colposcopy camp was organised from 29th March to 1st April 2017 under the sponsorship of Mukul Madhav Foundation. The inauguration was done by Police Commissioner - Ms. Rashmi Shukla. We conducted screening for the police staff and their family members.

   

This was a joint initiative of Prashanti Cancer Care Mission along with Kalagram , where PCCM was the NGO partner , free screening for all women was availed along with awareness information . In 2 days around 8 lectures on Awareness were given. 500 free vouchers were distributed for screening of breast cancer. This event took place on 15th & 16th of April 2017.

   

A full fledge 5 days camp was organised at Orbis International School for the teaching & non teaching staff by Prashanti Cancer Care Mission.

   
   

Dr. C.B. Koppiker conducted a free screening camp at the centre set up for patients in Ratnagiri where 40 patients were screened. Mammographies, sonographies and biopsies were performed as required on the patients resulting in the early detection of three women with precancerous lesions.
