As part of the Prashanti Cancer Care Initiative, Orchids Breast Health Centre, Pune, provides genetic counselling free of cost. The genetic counsellor, provides information on the inheritance aspect of breast cancer, recurrence risks, as well as shares the concerns of patients and their healthcare providers.
PCCM-Genetic Clinic was established in 2017. It offers complementary Genetic Counseling and also subsidized Genetic Testing for breast cancer patients. At the Genetic clinic over 300 patients have been tested to date and more than 500 patients have availed genetic counselling.
Additionally, Orchids Breast Health offers free nutrition, and yoga and psychological counseling to breast cancer patients.
